What is your single biggest suggestion when building a Tesla?
Buy the biggest batter that you can possibly afford. Do NOT skimp on a smaller battery, and get any extra features. Getting the largest battery possible should be your first priority. The biggest buyer remorse on forums is when a buyer gets a smaller battery pack and realizes just how much it dramatically effects range for trips, and slower speeds of supercharging. Keep in mind a supercharging station opens the flood gates when a tesla battery is low, but once it's 75% full the battery charging slows to a trickle comparatively. This means a smaller battery will give less supercharging maximization on trips, as well as dramatically reduced range in cold weather, with 22" rims, and other factors.
What are some pricing considerations before buying a Tesla?
You'll have to pay the State tax upfront, whether it's a lease or a buy. This means 5-10% of your vehicles total build price, plus a $5,000 deposit minimum. Choosing options can be challenging, but stay within your budget and go for the features that best suit your needs, such as climate control versus full self driving. Since some features like full self driving are not yet functional, they are a bigger gamble, whereas other instantly use-able features should be your first priority.
How can I wash my Tesla, Hand-wash only or is an automatic car wash OK?

What people’s experience was with the extended warranty and if you would recommend getting it?
It's more of an “Extended Service Plan” as it is not an extended warranty. Some people are more risk adverse therefore went ahead and purchased the 4 year extended service plan. Be careful as if you don’t have the annual service done on schedule it can void the extended service plan. See section C of the agreement. Additionally you must have the annual maintenance done every 12.5k miles which would cost $2,975. You could just do service every 25k for $1,800 and not miss much. Additionally there is a $200 deductible for every extended warranty issue. I think you basically need to have 2-3 major things replaced during that 50k miles for it to make sense financially.
How durable are the white leather seats, and how often do you typically clean them?
They are surprisingly durable, and the consensus among owners is that they can hold up to most major spills/stains. Personally, I have white seats, with 2 small children and a cat that goes for walks and gets muddy from time to time. I have a small container of computer screen wipes in my left had door and I pull out a wipe and clean the seats every few days. Although, the frequency depends on your use type and how strict your cleanliness level is. They CAN be cleaned though, and wipe dirt off easily.
How do I reboot my Tesla if the software locks or something goes wrong?
There is a video on the homepage, but basically you hold down BOTH scroll wheels on the steering wheel for about 7-10 seconds and your main screen will go black. Then the car will reboot within 1-2 minutes. You can also park the vehicle and go to the service section of the CONTROLS panel under settings and power the car off fully, then press the brake petal to restart. This will solve 95% of issues that occur with your Tesla.
